Summary: | The article analyzes one of the main features of contemporary television series - that they stimulate the formation of a "culture of misunderstanding." Their key tool to support action, to search for new plots, to construct artificial images, to enhance tension is creating misunderstandings. That brings a certain mentality among those who watch the series - not to try to sit on the table of negotiations to solve their problems, but wasting time and nerves on unnecessary suspicions, conflicts and battles.
