description As an extension of the work carried out in the Breton field about the school bilingualism of young children, this article presents to discussion the relevance of determining and mobilizing a new notion in connection with this research object, the notion of « bilingual pupils ». This idea of conceptualization continues scientific reflections on so-called « early » bilingualism, by addressing the question of the conditions of appropriation or non-appropriation of a minority language, such as Breton, transmitted through schooling. It is then a question of showing how the determination and use of this notion can appear heuristic both on the theoretical level and from the point of view of sociodidactic perspectives.
