The work consists of an edition, translation and commentary of a collection of jurisprudential cases from the Byzantine era. The publication of the two volumes, edited by Dieter Simon and Diether Roderich Reinsch, created an opportunity for discussion and dialogue on various topics pertaining to Byzantine law, for which the Peira is an important source of knowledge. |
