Summary: | Objective To investigate the psychological status of healthcare providers in Yongchuan Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University, one of the designated hospitals for novel coronavirus pneumonia during the COVID-19 epidemic. Methods The Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) was used to evaluate 68 staff in the hospital. SPSS 17.0 statistical software was used to process the data. The scores of each factor got from the target population were compared with the norm. Results During the COVID-19 epidemic, the SCL-90 scores of the staff were significantly higher than the norm (P<0.05). The scores increased with enhancement of the risk of infection at different departments. Conclusions The psychological status of healthcare providers in the hospital during the COVID-19 epidemic should be followed by necessary intervention as soon as possible. |
