Description
Summary:This paper evaluates the impact of board gender diversity on the performance of 170 non-financial corporations listed on the Vietnamese stock market over the period 2010-2015. Research findings show that gender diversity, as measured by the proportion and number of female directors on the board, has a positive influence on firm performance. Moreover, we found robust evidence that the boards of directors with three or more female members may exert a stronger positive effect on firm performance than boards with two or fewer female members.
