| Summary: | The urgency of structural modernization of the industry on the present stage of its development and the need of improvement of the state industrial policy are justified in the paper. Contents of the terms "industrial structure", "optimal structure", and "industrial structure" are specified. The main directions of analytical improvement of concepts, strategies and structural adjustment programs of the Ukrainian industry are proposed.<br>В статье обоснованы актуальность структурной модернизации промышленности на современном этапе ее развития и необходимость усовершенствования для этого государственной промышленной политики. Уточнено содержание понятий «структура промышленности», «оптимальная структура», «промышленная политика». Предложены основные направления аналитического усовершенствования концепций, стратегий и программ структурной перестройки украинской промышленности.
