| description | The paper describes the contribution of Ukrainian scientists to the development of national librarianship biography studies; the place and role of libraries in collecting, processing, systematisation and dissemination of information bibliographic resources. It is underlined that there are a lot of scientific papers, in particular, monographs and dissertations, electronic resources, biographic guides, bibliographic tools covering the history of Ukrainian bibliography and library science as well as particular scientists and cultural workers' lives and work. Taking into consideration the main task of the institutions of culture, science and education aimed at providing open access to various information sources, especially those that inform about the achievements of information and communication sciences, the author of the paper reveals how V. O. Sukhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine popularises the achievements of librarians, bibliographers, bibliologists and documentalists of Ukraine and the world. The information bibliographic resource dedicated to the outstanding Ukrainian scientist M. S. Slobodianyk is presented within Outstanding Librarians, Bibliographers, Bibliologists and Documentalists of Ukraine and the World project which has been formed by the specialists at the Department for Providing Scientific and Methodical Support to Education Libraries under V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine since 2009. |
