description | Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is a conduction disturbance characterized by the presence of an accessory pathway between the atria and the ventricles. The accessory pathway predisposes patients to tachyarrhythmias and sudden cardiac death. Among patients with WPW syndrome, atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (AVRT) is the most common arrhythmia, accounting for 95% of re-entrant tachycardias. It has been estimated that one-third of patients with WPW syndrome have atrial fibrillation (AF). AF is a potentially life-threatening arrhythmia and can degenerate to ventricular fibrillation. In this paper, we aimed to present an AF with wpw case. [Med-Science 2017; 6(4.000): 780-782] |
