| description | There are many literal works handed down to us from the archaic communities. Maybe the

communities and they are important resources for understanding the behaviours of people better.
Adapting myths which are accepted as a part of the oral narration to today’s conditions, it can be
thought that they explain themselves through such oral explanations as legends. There are several
elements, namely mythological, historical, religious and fantastic elements, which are used as
resources to explain the resource of legends. The creation of a legend can come into being as a
result of the only mythological approaches or mythological and historical approaches or all these
approaches’ coming together.
In this study, the place and importance of legends, which can be seen as a result of the myth
phenomenon and which represent a cultural side of our community, in Anatolian folk narratives. |
