description This paper presents an analysis of the possibilities of using energy generated by an experimental photovoltaic façade located on the building of the Technical University of Lodz, on the eastern elevation. The energy produced by the façade was designed to cover the demand for lighting in an office room. Research was carried out during the years 2015 - 2017 in selected periods of the year. The analysis showed that the winter and transitional periods generated much less electricity compared to the summer period, which is inversely proportional to the energy demand for artificial lighting in the office room.
