Description
Summary:The cooperative education is an alternative to the traditional initial training program, which is very popular with companies and students. It is a tool for trainers that can reinforce the professional aspect of their diplomas. What about university institutes of technology? Has their recognized proximity to the economic world encouraged or exempted them from a strong development of work-study curricula? To answer this question, we will propose a double inventory: quantitative and qualitative. We will try to identify, first of all, the role of salaried contracts in the diplomas offered by the IUTs (University Institutes of Technology). Then we will attempt to assess the perception of work/study program among a number of actors. We will explore the self-evaluation reports produced by the IUTs as part of the five-year evaluation framework, the results of the national surveys on the future of DUT (technical university degree) graduates and the work of the National Commissions responsible for renewing national DUT educational curricula.
