Summary:This article presents a brief analysis of the Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre and especially brings out the relationship between the choreographer, his conception, the new choreographic language and classical literature. Emphasis is laid on the choreographer`s relation with Fiodor Dostoevsky`s novels and the author considers some general problems concerning the interaction of the ballet theatre and classical literature.
