Summary:In this study, 9th grade geography book, which is applied in Turkish high schools, is compared to 9th grade geography book in high schools (Gymnasium) in Germany. This research has a qualitative pattern. Physical features of textbooks and their teaching-learning process are put forth and compared to each other. According to the research results, besides having advantages over each other; schoolbooks that have been taught in Germany has more positive features than the books of Turkish Republic Ministry of National Education. In the light of these findings, some suggestions have been given to researchers, teachers and curriculum development specialists
