Summary: | Bedephilia refers to historical, critical and theoretical discourses about comics, but it can also partake in the opening of new creative possibilities. The evolution in the output of some of the authors who participated in the early bedephilia movement, such as Jean-Claude Forest or Alain Tercinet, shows that their creative choices may have been influenced by their belonging to the early circles of comics enthusiasts. The emphasis laid on authorship within these circles is also likely to have encouraged experimental productions in contemporary graphic storytelling. |
