Description
Summary:The adenocarcinoma of the colon and rectum is rare in children. Most cases occur in the second decade of life. In this case, a patient who presents a low mechanical occlusive syndrome is reported. An exploratory laparotomy was performed. The pathology report indicated a well-differentiated left colon adenocarcinoma, ulcerated and infiltrating to the serosa. The lymph nodes were without metastasis and the section edges were tumor-free. The postoperative progress of the patient was favorable but died on the seventeenth day due to multiple complications.
