| description | The article is concerned with development of foundations and suggestions as to the Ukraine’s transition to the knowledge economy in the context of changes in the world economy. These changes will affect the production forces, forms of economic organization, institutions, and socio-economic relations. With this in mind, a new modernization project of the 21st century for Ukraine has been proposed. Attention is drawn to the need to «restart» the domestic economy, build a new model of growth based on new technological base, reproductive cycles, and patterns of production. The article emphasizes the essential role of information and communication technologies, the importance of interaction between science and business, as well as activation of entrepreneurship. The spatial, social, and political aspects of transition to the knowledge-based economy have been allocated. Recommendations for deepening the partnership between the State and business in the sphere of knowledge have been formulated. Suggestions for improving geo-economic strategy, development of international cooperation in the sphere of knowledge and innovation, as well as improving the integration strategy of Ukraine, have been provided. |
