(Z)-3-(2-Chlorobenzyl)-1,5-benzothiazepin-4(5H)-one

In the crystal structure of the title compound, C16H12ClNOS, the molecules are linked into centrosymmetric R22(8) dimers via pairs of N&#8212;H...O hydrogen bonds. The seven-membered ring adopts a boat conformation.
