A new species of Chrysina Kirby, 1828 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Rutelinae: Rutelini) from Ecuador and inclusion into proposed veraguana species-group
Chrysina mercedesae sp. nov. is described from Ecuador. A description of the species including illustrations of the adults, distribution map, as well as diagnostic characters and a key to three species that are hereby placed into the veraguana species-group, are presented.
