Description
Summary:Abstract This article shows how the newspaper Bergens Tidende takes a news and conflict oriented approach in its coverage of opera in Bergen. In an ongoing conflict, journalists tend to favour one particular party, which is a situation that can be seen as problematic when it comes to questions regarding journalistic professionalism, ethics and objectivity. My conclusions are based on content analysis of all the articles published on the subject between 2005 and 2008, and on interviews with two journalists and four employees of the opera company.
