Summary:This article intends to establish the relationship between history and philosophy by performing an historical review that starts with the greeks until the appearance of philosophy of history, specifically in Emmanuel Kant. Afterwards, I relate and show the difference between the kantian meditation of the XVIII century and the one Michel Foucault fulfilled two hundred years later. The objective is to rebound the tasks of philosophy of history and the way that the mentioned authors assume a compromise with the present.
