description
This article includes some ideas about the role of ideology in the activities of contemporary political parties in Russia. The authors of the article use a theory of ideologies by E. Wallerstein and rely on methods of content-analysis. The aim of content analyze is clarifying real, but not only formal (proclaimed) ideological orientation of Russian parties. We use only those parties’ programs who participate now in Russian parliament – “the winners” and try to understand which ideological concept is most popular (according to people choice on last elections). Another interesting question: does ideological aspect of the programs have still real influence on the political rating of the party. Relying on this methodology authors demonstrate the results of their practical research of the electoral programs of Russian parties. The authors conclude: current electoral programs of Russian parties are hybrid products. These programs are based on a synthesis of ideas, and the role of the classical ideologies is now reduced for minimum for them.

DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.12731/2218-7405-2013-9-29
