| description | Freshwater copepods were collected from various aquatic habitats in the Khentii Mountains of Mongolia during summer of 2018. Atteyella nordenskjoldii Lilljeborg, 1902 is newly recorded for Mongolia and the genus Atteyella is represented also for the first time in this country. Redescription and supplementary characteristics of the previously undiagnosed males and females of Atteyella nordenskjoldii are presented with detailed illustration. This species is characterized by caudal ramus without transverse row of spinules along dorsal surface and with more rows of spinules (tree) on inner margin. The baseoendopod of Leg 5 of male with three strong pinnate arrangement spines. |
