description The traditional AAC intervention is focused on developing the production of the AAC user. Aided Language Modelling is a popular evidence-based AAC intervention strategy and has a positive impact not only on the production of graphic symbols, but also on improving speech comprehension. The basic principle of this intervention is that the communication partner uses AAC in addition to spoken language, in order to provide the child with a model of the communication modality that the child will use for production. Several studies have shown and demonstrated that this type of AAC intervention helps to develop other communication skills of AAC users.
