Description
Summary:Starting from a reflection on the role of city planning policies at a European and local level in enabling socially innovative regeneration actions, we present the first results of a research project focusing on Le Vallette, a residential district in Turin, which aims to define how the district could be transformed by a regeneration project for its central area. While our work is limited by a tight deadline, it has been undertaken after constant dialogue with the communities and associations active in the area, and one of its main aims is to identify physical and functional strategies to reconnect and promote the sharing of introflexed and strongly degraded spaces and buildings.
