Description
Summary:To decline the exergy drop and improve the efficiency of current system, combination of two types of swirl flow devices was applied through the pipe. In middle section of pipe, four-way twisted tape with involve of four helical tapes were installed which makes the better mixing of carrier fluid. Moreover, to absorb more heat from the wall, thermal features of water has been improved with adding hybrid nanoparticles which were mixture of equal fraction of MWCNT and Fe3O4 nanoparticles. To involve the new fluid features, correlations based on homogeneous proposition were utilized. Validation with previous study indicates good accommodation. The smaller grid size near the wall makes better capturing the fluid behavior in that zone. Finite volume approach was applied for modeling and with involving UDF, exergy drop function has been calculated. As Re or number of revolution elevate, the strength of secondary flow enhances and better mixing of fluid appears which offers greater impingement with wall and more disruption of boundary layer happens. By elevating of inlet velocity and N, Xd reduces about 88.43% and 32.6%.
