| description | The experiment was conducted in Al-Athar nursery in Nineveh governorate ,to improve growth of Nephroleps plant Nephrolepis exaltata L. for producing it as a pot plants , by treated plants with growth retardants : Alar at concentrations 0 , 100 , 200 mg/liter and pacllopetrazol at 3 , 6 mg/liter as a drench to potting medium or spraying on foliage (vegetative growth) .The results showed that plants treated with paclobetrazol at 3 mg/liter gave significantly best resulted of fronds length ,while using 6 mg/liter paclobetrazol gave significantly best result in leaflet per fronds ,least both concentration of paclobetrazol used were significantly decreased total chlorophyll content in fronds using growth retardants .Plant treated by growth retardants drench or spraying did not gave significantly results. Finally ,plant drench treated with paclobetrazol at concentration 6 mg/liter gave significantly highest result in fronds numbers, leaflets /fronds ,fronds area ,while total chlorophyll content was decreased to minimum at the alone. |
