Description
Summary:In this paper are presented the results of one inquiry oriented to study the way in which the concept of social representation influences on the process of subjectivation of the illness in persons with cancer and hypertension. Social representations are redefined from a historical – cultural comprehension about subjectivity. It is defended the subjective sense dimension in the ontological definition of the social representations. As a consequence of this definition, the inquiry is developed on the basis of a qualitative approach oriented by a constructive interpretative principle. This methodological definition permits the theoretical construction of the consequences of the social representations on the processes of subjectivation of the illness in the participants.
