description The sociological study of uses aims at examining the appropriation of technology by a group of people. As such, it can also be a tool to assess a CALL system between two key stages of its development. The analysis of the representational network constructed by learners and tutors can help define the conditions that are necessary for a new multimedia learning environment to be accepted by the protagonists of the situation. This article intends to identify patterns and contradictions in the discourse of tutors confronted with a CALL system so as to customize the latter and develop its efficiency.
