description Using Weber's concepts of rationalization and bureaucratic organization, as well as Habermas's idea of practical reason, this paper shows how aristotelian concepts of happiness and teleological rationality are applied to some problems of organizational life. These problems are related to coherence between two types of goals. Those that belong to people's life projects, and the goals of corporations looking for market efficiency. The aim is to show that the noncritical use of technical rationality and the bureaucratization of customs and procedures, can disrupt the need to make them rational or justified, and indeed frustrate the search for personal happiness.
