Summary: | The central subject of this article is the historical study of the relationship established, in the 1940s and 1970s, between the city of São Paulo that was becoming metropolitan and for that purpose it was back to the construction of its industrial park and the consequences of this process in the life of its population, as well as the cooling of diseases. In this context, it is intended to point out how transformations of this scale, such as air pollution emitted by automobiles, but, above all, by factories, inside and outside their work spaces, impacted the health of the working population. |
