| description | Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) Tirta Tarum is a Regional Company owned by Karawang District. PDAM Tirta Tarum is intended to serve the interests of the community in order to enjoy clean water services. After the promulgation of Law Number 23 Year 2014 concerning Regional Government, it has juridical implications that regional companies must change their form into Public Companies (Perum) or Regional Companies (Perseroda). This research method uses a qualitative method with a normative juridical approach method that is elaborating between library studies with the applicable laws and regulations. The results of this discussion, namely the change in the form of legal entity PDAM Tirta Tarum, Karawang Regency is mandated by the Law on Regional Government which requires that no later than 3 (three) years after promulgation, it must adjust the provisions contained in the law. In addition, the change in the form of the legal entity chosen is Perseroda because later PDAM Tirta Tarum Kabupaten Karawang can be managed professionally by continuing to prioritize its social functions towards the needs and interests of the community. |
