Description
Summary:As one of our most prominent literary names Andrić drew attention from his earliest days. Whether it’s a literary prose or novel his depth was carefully considered and evaluated. In literature, which critically checked and enlightened the pages of his work, literature criticism is scarcely mentioned. In this paper emphasis is put on the criticism and reviews written by Andrić in the pages of Književni jug (eng. Literary South), Vihor (eng. Whirlwind), and other publications until 1925. Although their number is neither significant nor sufficient for a literary-historic mark, the power of his insight in the literary work, the manner of critical opinion making, and uniqueness of the literary expression convince us that we are not dealing with casual interest of the author, especially because some of these remarks have major relevance today.
