Summary: | The present work aims explore the aspects of the work Political Riots or
history of the main political events in the Province of Par from 1821 until 1835, of the
historian Domingos Antonio Raiol, since it constitutes an essential support for the knowledge
of how Brazilian intellectuals of the century XIX, focused in the natural world. Thus,
although Raiols narrative directed toward the description of the social and political conflicts
in Par, in it, the place of the nature representations was not absent, constantly appearing in
multiple forms, throughout the events described by the author. From this presupposed
analysis, I intend to display some of the various representations of the nature, contained in
this narrative, not only the forest, but also descriptions of its beauties, wealth, and even the
illnesses that occurred in the region, to try to more deeply understand the clear interactions
between the natural and the political world
