| description | Questo saggio tratta degli aspetti metodologici e di alcuni dei principali risultati ottenuti nel corso delle ricognizioni di superficie collegate al progetto R.I.M.E.M. (Ricerche sugli Insediamenti Medievali nell’Entroterra delle Marche), che si svolgono dal 2006 nell’entroterra delle Marche. Nella prima sezione l’Autore descrive i complessi problemi metodologici dovuti alle caratteristiche geomorfologiche dell’area (dinamiche di versante, frane, depositi colluviali), alle coperture vegetazionali, alla forte frammentazione dei reperti ceramici (a causa delle pratiche di agricoltura meccanizzata) e, infi ne, all’insuffi ciente conoscenza delle produzioni ceramiche post classiche in tutta la regione. La seconda sezione riguarda sia gli aspetti tecnico-metodologici delle ricognizioni, sia l’interpretazione di alcuni dei principali risultati, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il tema dell’evoluzione dell’insediamento rurale tra il tardoantico e i secoli X-XI.
This paper concerns the methodological aspects and some main results of an archaeological survey linked to the R.I.M.E.M. project (Researches on the Medieval Settlement in the Marchean Inland), carried out since 2006 in the inland of the Marche Region. In the first section the Author reports about the hard methodological problems related to the geomorphological features (slope processes, landslides, colluvial deposits), to the vegetation covers, to the heavy pottery fragmentation (due to the mechanized farming) and finally to the lack of knowledge about postclassical ceramics in the Region. The second section concerns both the methodological-technical aspects of the survey, and the interpretation of some main results, principally with regard to the topic of the rural settlement evolution between Late Roman Period and X-XIth centuries. |
