Distribution of Gc Types in Wuhan
The distribution of group-specific component(G) types was examined by disc electrophoresis from 508 unrelated residents in Wuhan. Discontinuous buffer system was used in this investigation. The polyacrylamide concentration used for separating gel was 9%, used for concentrating gel was 3.125%. After...

description | The distribution of group-specific component(G) types was examined by disc electrophoresis from 508 unrelated residents in Wuhan. Discontinuous buffer system was used in this investigation. The polyacrylamide concentration used for separating gel was 9%, used for concentrating gel was 3.125%. After electrophoresis the gel was stained with amidoblack and destained by electrilytic destaining. This method shortened destaining time compared with the conventional destaining method. The distribution of Gc types in the population of Wuhan was as follows: Gc 1—1=255 (50.2%), Gc2-1=214 (4 2.1%), Gc2-2=39 (7.7%). The gene frequencies were calculated at Gc=0.7126. Gc 2=0.2874. |
