description Since the publication of the article “Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants” by Marc Prensky, the way in which new technologies and Social Networks determine the educational process has been discussed in the context of the Didactics. This perspective shift has forced to rethink the role played by teachers and educational institutions. Such observations will focus the attention of this paper in order to analyze the main myths, proposals and challenges related to the didactic application of the ICT and the Social Networks in the learning process of Spanish as foreign language and the literary teaching.
