Description
Summary:Fibroepithelial polyps of the vulva are specific mesenchymal lesions that are commonly found in the vulvovaginal region in reproductive period and in premenopausal females. We present a case of a 36 year old female, who came for examination because of interruption of unwanted pregnancy. During the examination we revealed a large flank mass on the stalk, which started from the right labia. Tumor formation was measuring 165x120x10mm, soft consistency, painfully insensitive to palpation. The tumor was removed by excision, cutting the stem at the base and the material was sent for histopathological examination. Histopathological findings confirmed that this is a fibroepithelial polyp of the vulva.
