description This article substantiates the metallization of fabrics, which can be used to protect products from corrosion, rotting, erosion, and also be used for decorative and other purposes. The metallization process has been studied, which consists of applying thin layers of various metals to fabric: aluminum, chromium, cadmium, tin, zinc, silver, gold and other metals, as well as some alloys and inorganic substances or, instead, organic threads that penetrate very finely into textile. The article presents samples of metallized fabrics, as well as fabrics with shielding properties. As a result, a table is presented that characterizes the reduction in the strength of electromagnetic radiation when using such fabrics.
