Description
Summary:Ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) is a non-invasive and high-resolution approach to studying anatomical characteristics and relationships among various anterior segment components. This imaging approach provides real-time cross-sectional images even in opaque corneas. It is especially valuable to assess lesions and document anatomical abnormalities, i.e., irido-cilliary complex, zonular abnormalities, and mass lesions in the anterior segment. This review article gives an overview of the UBM imaging technique and its applications to various types of Glaucoma.
