Summary:Arterial hypertension (AH) is one of the main causes of the occurrence and progression of different types of vascular pathology. AH-associated functional and morphological impairments of the brain are the severe symptom complexes of hypertensive encephalopathy (HE), which require continuous correction. The measures for the prevention and treatment of all cardiovascular diseases, including HE, involve adequate correction of AH, correction of energy neuronal homeostatic disorders, as well as a harmonious combination of psychotherapeutic and pharmacological exposures.
