O presente trabalho tem como finalidade discutir a formação do campo científico em Pernambuco a partir da implantação de instituições de pesquisa, ensino e fomento no estado e como tais instituições contribuíram para a consolidação do referido campo. Além disso, debater como o habitus científico foi reproduzido entre os agentes através das práticas (o saber-fazer) incorporadas no âmbito de tais instituições. Para isso, o referencial teórico se respaldou na teoria bourdiesiana, especialmente no que se refere à ideia de campo científico e habitus. No que se refere aos procedimentos metodológicos, foram utilizadas fontes documentais e bibliográficas, bem como entrevistas semi-estruturadas com pesquisadores da comunidade cientifica pernambucana. Os dados da pesquisa revelaram que os agentes da comunidade científica local reproduzem práticas universais do campo cientifico e que as instituições de ensino e pesquisa, além da Fundação de Amparo à Ciência e Tecnologia do Estado de Pernambuco (FACEPE), são microcosmos do campo científico.

THE FORMATION OF THE SCIENTIFIC FIELD IN PERNAMBUCO
Abstract:
This paper aims to discuss the formation of the scientific field in Pernambuco taking into account the implementation of research, teaching and promotion institutions and how these institutions contributed to the consolidation of that field. Also, discuss how scientific habitus was played its role among the agents through the practices ( know-how ) incorporated within such institutions . For this, the theoretical framework was endorsed in Bourdieusian theory, especially related to the idea of scientific field and habitus. As regards to the methodological procedures, documentary and bibliographical sources and semi-structured interviews with researchers from Pernambuco scientific community were used and/or made. The survey data revealed that agents of the local scientific community reproduce universal practices of the scientific field and the institutions of education and research, in addition to the Foundation for Science and Technology of the State of Pernambuco ( FACEPE), are microcosms of the scientific field.
