However, recent attempts have been made –particularly from the Philosophy of History–to direct attention to the areas of intersection between these two discourses. In line with this perspective, I present here a proposal to analyze the dialogue between the literary and the historical discourse in Hernán Lara Zavala’s novel Península, península (2008). I claim that these two discourses converge in the same discursive space; furthermore, I also claim that they complement each other in the construction of a new story, a story emblematic or meaningful as a cache of historical memory. |
