Summary:Thepapercomprisesthestudyofadaptivecapacityofcardiovascularsystemofschool-age children (7-17 year children) living in adverse environmental conditions of the large industrial region. Unsatisfactory adaptive capacity of blood circulation system is showninallchildrenunderstudy. Thelowestadaptivecapacityoftheorganismwasrecordedin 7-10 and 15-17 year old boys and in 11-17 year old girls. Thefindingsofthestudyshouldbetakenintoaccountinorganizationof preventive and rehabilitation activities for school-age children. Opportunityofusingthevalueofadaptivepotentialcalculated following our method as a biological indicator of the environmental condition isdemonstratedaswell.
