Summary: | Peripheral geopolitical regions play a special role in the foreign policy of countries. Among these, one of the important geopolitical regions Peripheral Iran is the South Asian region. What is happening in South Asia is affecting Iran's interests. Therefore, having a proper knowledge of foreign policy provides the necessary ability to maintain and strengthen Iran's national interests in the South Asian region. The purpose of this study is to explain the geopolitical opportunities of Iran's foreign policy in the South Asian region. The research method of this research will be descriptive-analytical as well as the method of collecting research findings in library and field. Qualitative findings show that some of the natural and human indicators of the countries of the South Asian region with the Islamic Republic of Iran have homogeneity and complementarity in various economic, communication, cultural, religious and scientific dimensions and field findings of twelve indicators Approves as opportunities for the Islamic Republic of Iran in South Asia. |
