Description
Summary:This report is justified from the particular experience of two students, who acted as members of the Hetero-identification Commission, at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), formed for the process of enrollment in undergraduate courses in 2020. The coreof the report is in subjective exteriorizations about the development and application of affirmative action, specifically, in the application of Law 12.711/2012, which guarantees reserved places for blacks -according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) this group is composed of black and brown people -indigenous and quilombolas. Thus, this report aims to observe, comment and describe from a personal perspective how the Commission of Hetero-identification acted in a specific enrollment process, and how some candidates who were going through the process behaved. It is important to point out that it is not described here the view of the university, but the view of two students, who at the time were undergraduates, one of whom was studying Social Sciences, with a major in Public Policies, and the other, Portuguese Language.
