| description | 2012 in the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine was introduced Automated Library Information System (hereinafter - ALIS) «IRBIS» as a typical integrated solutions in automation of traditional library technologies. Designed for library and information processes of any complexity, ALIS «IRBIS» provided to create and support a large number of databases in Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The Department of software and technological support networks Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine has developed a new workstation entry point readers (hereinafter - PZCH AWP) for the development and use of the database «Readers Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine» with the use of workstation «Cataloguer» ALIS «IRBIS» and system of personalization of plastic cards IDCardMaster. ALIS «IRBIS» optimized automatic telling readers using different types of readers' tickets and one-time passes. Information database «Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine Readers' consisting of the 26 fields that contain a personal data about each user Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. DB «Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine Readers' stored on servers Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine and is intended solely for internal use. Personal data of users is classified as limit information. ARM PZCH provides confidentiality, the integrity of the information and protect it from unauthorized access. Processing of personal data of users in the database Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine «Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine Readers' conducted to identify them as library users and to create an integrated, automated library-information system of registration of readers. Processing of personal data of users is necessary to study the socio-demographic characteristics of readers Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine and prepare statistical and other reports. For the purpose of statistical analysis of data from the database «Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine Readers' and prepare statistical reports using specialized statistical forms, which formed the statistical distribution of information about readers Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine in the» Statistics «workstation» Cataloguer «and search dictionaries that provide obtaining various statistics. Systematic study of readership Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine via e-registration in the database «Readers Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine» enables comprehensive analysis of readers structural change, which is essential to clarify the content of reader information needs correction acquisition of library collections, innovative forms of library and information services as the main direction library activities. |
