Description
Summary:Hélène Cixous's "Jours de l'en" (Days of the Year), published in 1990, is the book of the author born from ashes and the struggle against death. From Cixous's feminine writing theory, it is possible to determine three basic themes in the book such as the birth of the author and the journey she has made towards the unknown, the struggle of the narrator against forgetting and leaving, and finally writing with its natural quality of rendering the mortal immortal. At the end of the narrative, the writer's giving her place to the narrator, the daughter of the living mother, love replacing death and the writing perceived as a protector against separation, death, and forgetfulness reflect on the one hand the power of life, while on the other, highlight the bases of feminist writing theorized in the essays written by Hélène Cixous in the seventies.
