description This article examines the scientific and existential difficulties experienced by a researcher when working on his own field of professional practice, in particular in the school environment. Skepticism, even rejection by colleagues is dramatical in a situation fostered by the denying of expertise outside the classroom by the teaching profession. The risk of subjectivism is an epistemological risk and a difficulty in the relationship with the surrounding of the research. A triangulation of methods based on a conceptualization deconstructing the preconceptions of the researcher, and making it possible to locate his research is proposed as a possible social mediation between the methodological "I", research and the field.
