Summary:The article is devoted to the Amaryllidaceae family in particular to the following species such as allium Rosenbachianum, popularly known as «siyohalaf», and allium giant Regel known as «mokhdil». These plants are seasonal and grow mostly in the mountainous areas of the Republic of Tajikistan. The places of highest growth of «siyohalaf» and «mokhdil» are described in detail. Their botanical description has been provided. The green leaves of these plants contain a bouquet of organic acids, carotene, a number of vitamins and other biologically active substances. According to the traditional medicine of Central Asia, particularly in mountainous regions, these plants are considered as a food product and prescribed to normalize fat metabolism and digestion processes
