description Introduction: Although the evidence-based practice has been shown to improve the quality of health care and increase clinical outcomes, there are still challenges to translating research into clinical practice. Therefore this study aimed to determine evidence-based practices and their associated factors among health professionals in Ethiopia. Method: To identify useful studies, a search of PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, and Web-science was performed. For the analysis, STATA 16 has been employed. The funnel plot and Egger's regression test statistic have been used to find potential reporting bias, while I2 was employed to confirm inter-study heterogeneity. A random-effect model has been used to contrast summary effects, odds ratios, and 95% confidence intervals all over research findings. Result: The pooled estimate of evidence-based practice among health professionals in Ethiopia was 42.94% (95%CI: 30.03–55.85). Good Knowledge (AOR = 2.38; 95% CI:1.82,3.12),had internet access(AOR = 1.81; 95%CI:1.38,2.38), took training(AOR = 2.45; 95% CI:1.47,4.08), had good communication skill(AOR = 2.28; 95% CI: 1.94, 2.67),availability of free time (AOR = 3.31; 95%CI:1.39, 7.87) and marital status single(AOR = 1.77; 95% CI:1.26,2.47) were statistically associated with evidence based practice of health professionals. Conclusion and recommendation: This systematic review and meta-analysis found that about forty-three percent of respondents utilized evidence-based practices for patient care. Knowledge, training, and internet access were identified as factors associated with evidence-based practice among health professionals in Ethiopia. This study suggests the need to conduct provision of training and capacity building, mentoring on the competence of health professionals in evidence-based practice.
